Galileo Thermometer Glass Multicolor Floating Spheres 9.5 Inch Decorative Temperature Display 16°C-28°C for Home Office Desk Science Decor Gift for Everyday Use

Galileo Thermometer – Multicolor Floating Glass Spheres, 9.5 Inch Decorative Temperature Display

A timeless blend of science and art, this classic Galileo thermometer features hand-blown glass spheres in multiple colors suspended in a delicate glass cylinder. As the temperature changes, the spheres rise and fall to display the current ambient temperature — a beautiful and functional piece for any home or office.

How It Works

Each hand-blown glass bubble is filled with colored liquid and calibrated to a specific density. As the surrounding air temperature rises or falls, the liquid inside the cylinder expands or contracts, changing its density. Bubbles denser than the liquid sink; bubbles less dense than the liquid float. The lowest floating bubble indicates the current temperature — a principle discovered by Galileo Galilei in the 17th century.

Multicolor Floating Spheres

Each sphere contains a different colored liquid and is attached to a small metal tag engraved with a temperature reading. The varying colors create a visually striking display that changes throughout the day as temperatures shift.
